Director General appointed in JV Kazgermunai LLP

On October 26, Yevgeniy Kim, Deputy Akim of Kyzylorda Region; Nurgaliyev Kuanyshbay, Director for Oil & Gas Production, JSC KazMunayGas National Company; and Bolat Kusherbayev, Vice-President for Development & Capital Construction, JSC PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources made a business visit to KGM senior management in KGM HQ Office.

The purpose of the viгisiгit was to present Mr. Murat Mustafayev as new Diгirector General of JV Kazgermunaiгi LLP appoiгinted by JSC KazMunaiгiGas Natiгional Company. Mr. Murat Mustafayev had earliгier been Diгirector General (Chaiгirman of the Board), KazNIPImunaiгigas LLP.

Murat Mustafayev (Kenesbayevich) was born on September 26, 1972 He graduated Kyzylorda Polytechnic College in 1991; and Faculty of Geological Survey of K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University receiving a degree of Mining Geological Engineer in 1996 He also received MBA from International Academy of Business in 2010.

He began his career as Oil & Gas Production Operator (Grade 2) for JSC Yuzhneftegaz in 1997 Up to 2000, Senior Operator; Well Survey Operator (Grade 5) of Engineering Service in JSC HurricaneKumkolMunai. Between 2000 and 2003, Field Geologist and HQ Office Geologist for JV Kuat Amlon Munai. Between 2003 to 2012, continued career in various positions for JSC Turgai Petroleum: Lead Geologist, Head of Geology Service, Lead Reservoir Engineering Engineer, Head of Reservoir Engineering Department, Chief Geologist, Director for Geology and Reservoir Engineering. In 2012, he was invited to JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration & Production as Chief Geologist, Advisor to Director General for Geology; Managing Director for Geological Exploration until 2015/

Between January and August 2016, he held the position of First Deputy Director General for Portfolio Management in JSC KazNIPImunaigas. Starting from August 16, 2016, he was appointed as Director General (Chairman of the Board) of KazNIPImunaigas LLP.

He holds the diploma and badge of ‘Honorary Mining Prospector of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ given by Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Mr. Murat Mustafayev has replaced Mr. Yessen Kairzhan who has worked in for KGM since July 1, 2017 as First Deputy Director General and Director General.
