Kazgermunai is working on the non-spreading of coronavirus infection

02 april 2020

In a context of coronavirus infection spread, JV Kazgermunai LLP takes all possible measures to minimize the risks of infection for its employees and their family members. Today, as never before, the goal that the partnership has always set itself in the strategy of labor protection and safety: preserving the life and health of workers, becomes more relevant. In order to prevent further spread of the virus, the existing sanitary and anti-epidemic measures are strengthened and additional restrictive measures are introduced.

Instead of previous 15/15 days of rotational shiftwork the employees of Akshabulak, Nuraly and Aksai fields were transferred to 28/28 days. The administrative and management personnel carrying out their labor activities in Kyzylorda, Nur-Sultan and Almaty cities, for the most part, were sent to a remote mode of work with an urgent recommendation of maximum social isolation. Those office employees who had unused days of vacation for the previous periods were sent on vacation. With a total staffing of the administrative and management personnel of 179 employees, currently 74 employees are on remote work mode, and 60 employees are on vacation. As for the operating personnel, 19% of employees are sent on annual leave.

All office and field employees are provided with personal protective equipment (protective medical masks and hand antiseptics). Distribution of PPE continues as needed. All company employees who continue to work under normal conditions undergo a rapid medical examination twice a day with a mandatory measurement of body temperature.

In order to prevent mass crowding, the company administration set up a schedule for visiting canteens, taking into account its reference to various services, as well as shift work, in order to avoid overlays that could affect the production. A ban was imposed on visits of sport halls and gyms located in the field and office.

On behalf of the management of operational headquarter of JV Kazgermunai LLP, the sanitary posts were set up at security points at Akshabulak and Aksai fields, where all employees entering the contracted territory of the company (KGM employees, representatives of contracting companies) are checked by medical workers conducting a visual inspection and body temperature measurement, and preventing admission of persons who do not use PPE.

Also, the operational headquarter has developed and approved a plan, an algorithm for urgent measures, as well as alert schemes in case of detection of a coronavirus infection by an employee at the partnership’s site.

All company medical centers are provided with antiviral and other additional medicines, thermovision cameras, with isolators arranged. Sanitary and disinfection mode has been strengthened: all premises in the office and field are cleaned twice a day, vehicles are disinfected and rooms are quartz treated.

Among other things, there is an increase in sanitary-educational work on prevention of coronavirus infection (information is sent via e-mail, instant messengers, placed on wall panels, etc.). Company lawyers carry out explanatory work on restrictions and requirements for citizens under the emergency conditions and measures of responsibility for non-compliance with these requirements, and the actions of individuals on dissemination and sending false information.
