XXVIII Worldwide Winter Universiade Torch Relay

Kyzylorda has met the XXVIII Worldwide Winter Universiade Torch Relay. The Torch run was carried out by the local citizens who have contributed to the regional socio-economic development, including petroleum men, industry leaders, sportsmen, artists, students, etc. The run started from the RK First President’s Park, and was participated by the following KGM employees:

Serik Tyran – Deputy Director General, Geology – Chief Geologist;

Yerkhan Keldibaiuly – Well Chemical Treatment Operator. RK Master of Sports for arm-wrestling, silver award of Asian

Championship. 1^st grade volleyball player, two-time champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Farkhad Seksenbayev – Nuraly CPF Operator;

Gibrat Auganov – Lead Engineer, HR Department. 1^st grade sportsman for Greco-Roman wrestling.

All of the above pursue an active lifestyle, support sports, and make a healthy living.

The Torch Relay finished at the central municipal square where Elizabeth Tursynbayeva, bronze award of the Junior Olympic Games and the leading figure skater of the RK team, lit the Universiade flame. The ceremony was then conducted by the concert of local stars.
