Sports Contests Among KazMunaiGas National Company Group of Companies

For the purpose of healthy lifestyle propaganda, involving to physical activities and supporting communications among the employees of its subsidiaries, KazMunaiGas National Company has organized a two-stage Sports Contests attributed to the 25th anniversary of the RK Independence and RK Oil & Gas Industry Day.
Starting in March and ending in July, 10 groups of KMG NC subsidiary teams completed the first stage of preliminary round. Participated by 50 companies within KMG NC for the following businesses: exploration & production, crude oil transportation and gas marketing, oil refinery, petroleum services, drilling and servicing projects (total 2,500 employees). KGM employees played for the team of KazMunaiGas E&P.
Between September 3-7, the final stage games were held in 5 sports arenas in Astana with the opening ceremony organized in Tarlan Arena. Sports contests were played for 9 types: futsal, volleyball, basketball, chess, checkers, togyzkumalak, billiards, table tennis, running, and mixed relay. The games were attended by 500 participants representing 30 companies within the KMG NC group.

The sports contests were held in a competitive but friendly environment. The closing and awards ceremony was arranged in a festive manner. All winners were awarded medals and diplomas. From now on, such sports contests are to be arranged on annual basis.
