On September 17, 2024, Liu Shaoyou - First Deputy General Director

got retired due to pension age. Liu Shaoyou has worked at JV Kazgermunai LLP since 2020, while his total work experience was 37 years.

 In 1987, Liu Shaoyou has graduated from the Huadong Petroleum Institute in specialty “Oil and Gas Geology” and in 1998, he post-graduated in Oil & Gas State Academy name after I.M. Gubkin has awarded the Academic title of Ph. D in Engineering/Technical Science.

In 1987, Liu Shaoyou started his career as an Engineer in the Exploration Oil&Gas wells Department in the CNPC Company, Beijing City.  Then, after completion his studies at the State Academy of Oil and Gas name after I. M. Gubkin, he has worked in the position as Director at the Foreign Project Management Department International Projects in the CNODC Company and then assigned as Deputy General Director at OJSC CNPC – Aktobemunaigas. Additionally, in Kazakhstan Liu Shaoyou was in charge of the following Oil Production Companies, are as follows: JSC CNPC – Ai Dan Munai, Buzachi Operating Limited.

 In 2020, he has started to work on the position as the First Deputy General Director at JV Kazgermunai LLP and then has worked as the General Director of the Partnership.

 Liu Shaoyou participated in the evaluation and acquisition in variety of projects in Kazakhstan: MMG, KMK, Kashagan, Yamal LNG in the Russian Federation, the Project of the Amu-Darya river right bank in Turkmenistan and exploration blocks in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In 2001, he participated in the acquisition of the exploration block of the Central territory of the Peri-Caspian Lowland Eastern side.
