On October 31, 2024, Liu Zhanli, Deputy General Director for Geology and Development, was given a well-deserved rest.  Liu Zhanli has worked at JV Kazgermunai LLP since 2016, while his total work experience was 34 years.

In 1987, Liu Zhanli graduated from the Northeastern Petroleum University in Daqing, China, becoming a bachelor of Petroleum geology, and in 1990 he received a master's degree from the same educational institution. In 2003, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics with a degree in Economics.

He began his career in 1990 as a specialist in geology, Department of Geology and Development of  No. 9 OGPD of the Daqing Oil Company. Then he worked as a geology manager at the Research Institute for Exploration and Development of Oil and Gas Fields of the Daqing Oil Company, as a geology manager of the Department for Projects in the regions of Russia and Central Asia of the Chinese Research Institute for Exploration and Development of Oil and Gas Fields in Beijing. He worked in the Kazakh-Chinese Pipeline LLP, PetroKazakhstan Inc. JSC.

 In 2016, he was hired by the Deputy General Director for Geology and Development at JV Kazgermunai LLP.

During the years of work in the company, he was awarded with a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honor of the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers and the 25th anniversary of the Company in 2018, the Medal of the KAZENERGY Association in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Company in 2023.
