In accordance with the cooperation memorandum between KazMunaiGas National Company and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) regarding the exchange of experience in improving oil recovery, on July 18, 2025, CNPC Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development Co. Ltd. – RIPPED) visited KGM.

During the meeting, KGM representatives provided information on the field development status, as well as identified potential areas for oil recovery increase. RIPED presented advanced technologies used in CNPC to increase oil recovery. In particular discussed methods such as injection of nanopolymers to increase flooding efficiency and other innovative solutions. Also, RIPED visited Core Storage on the KGM territory where core samples from Aksai and Akshabulak fields are shown.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further analysis of possible use of the presented technologies in KGM fields.
