New Members of KGM Board

In accordance with KGM Charter, the right to nominate candidates for the positions of General Director and First Deputy General Director alternates between KGM Participants every 3 years.

To anounce the new members of KGM Board, our office was visited by the following members of KGM Supervisory Board: Kuanysh Nurgaliyev, Managing Director for Production and Field Development, KMG E&P; Bekmurat Nayzabekov, Managing Director for Marketing, Procurements and Crude Sales, KMG E&P; and Abudurexiti Tursun, Vice-President,PKKR.

Yessen Kairzhan is appointed as Chairman of the Board, General Director, KGM. Tian Kejian is appointed as Member of the Board, First Deputy General Director, KGM.

In 1985, he graduated V.I. Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, Almaty, specialty of ‘Machines and Equipment in Oil & Gas Fields’. In 2000, graduated V.P. Gorjachkin Moscow State Agricultural Engineering University, specialty of ‘Enterprise Economy & Management’. In 2012, graduated Higher Vocational School of Academy of National Economy under the Government of Russian Federation.

Yessen Kairzhan started his professional career in 1985 as a maintenance technician in Zhetybai-Neft Oil & Gas Production Unit, Mangyshlakneft. From 1992 to 1994, worked for Mangyshlak Rig Assembling Office. From 1994 to 1995, Deputy Head of operations service base at Yuzhneftegas. In 1995, started work for JSC Kumkol-LUKoil, later renamed as JSC Turgai-Petroleum, which was headed by him in 2009 in the position of General Director. From April 2016 to June 2017, held the position of President, JSC Karazhanbasmunai.

In 1999, Yessen Kairzhan was awarded governmental honorary medal Yeren Yenbegi Ushin for merits in RK oil & gas industry in attributon to the 100th anniversary of Kazakh oil. In 2009, awarded honorary order Kurmet; in 2010, awarded order Atameken.

Tian Kejian he graduated East China Petroleum Institute as a petroleum reservoir engineer. He has a 33-year experience in oil & gas industry including 30 years of managing operations in petroleum companies. Work experience in Kazakhstan counts total 18 years.

Started his career in 1984 as an engineer in production unit of KaramaiMunaiGas, XUAR, China. Then, Deputy Chief Engineer until 1997, later Deputy Director for Production. From 1997 to 2004, worked as Deputy Chief Engineer, then Chief Engineer at JSC CNPC-AktobeMunayGas. From 2004 to 2008 – Deputy General Director, JV KuatAmlonMunai LLP in Kyzylorda. From 2008 to 2014 – General Manager, then General Director of Buzachi Operating Limited in Mangistau. From 2014 to 2016 – Deputy Chief Engineer, China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (CNODC), Beijing, China. From 2016 to 2018, Deputy General Director for Production, JSC MangistauMunaiGas.
