In the period from July 1 to July 2, qualifying competitions of the 8 group of the Spartakiad of JSC NC KazMunayGas were held in Kyzylorda. The tradition of holding sports competitions among oilmen was founded in 2011. However, in 2020-2021, it was not possible to hold it due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year the Games are dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the National Company. The competition is attended by representatives of subsidiaries and affiliates of KazMunayGas from the regions where the joint-stock company operates. Qualifying competitions are held in groups of subsidiaries and affiliates, the final stage will be held at the KMG level in August in the city of Atyrau.

Group 8 included JV Kazgermunai LLP and Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP. Guests from Pavlodar arrived in Kyzylorda to compete with colleagues in the following sports: mini-football, basketball, volleyball, table and tennis, swimming, athletics, chess and togyz-qumalaq. The competitions were held on the basis of the sports complexes "Muz Aydyny", "Eurasia", "Nursat" and the Central Stadium named after Gani Muratbayev.

According to the results of the competition, the athletes of JV Kazgermunai LLP were able to win tickets to the finals of the Spartakiad in: football, lawn tennis, table tennis, chess (men’s), togyz kumalak (men’s and women’s), swimming (men’s).
