Scientific and practical conference "Geology and Subsoil Use: experience, challenges, prospects" was held in Kyzylorda

The scientific and practical conference "Geology and Subsoil Use: experience, challenges, prospects", dedicated to the Geologist's Day, was held in the Bastau Business Center conference hall. The event has organized by Joint Venture Kazgermunai LLP with the participation of Trans-Regional Department Uzhkaznedra, Kyzylorda Regional Inspectorate.
The event brought together Leading Experts from the Oil&Gas and Uranium Industries, representatives of relevant Government entities, and Scientific Institutions. Deputy Akim of the Kyzylorda region Ardak Zebeshov, representatives of KazMunayGas JSC, Veteran Geologists of the Kyzylorda region were the Guests of Honor of the conference.
Askar Erkin, Chief of the Kyzylorda Geology Regional Inspectorate opened and was moderator of the conference as well as Ardak Zebeshov Deputy Akim of the Kyzylorda region, Ziyash Kiyakbayev General Director of JV Kazgermunai LLP addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. They highlighted in their speeches the importance of active geological survey, implementation of innovative exploration methods and expanding of Region’s resource base.
During the plenary part of the Conference, reports covering a wide range of topics have presented, as follows: from the development prospects of the South-Torgai Sedimentary Basin and the Syrdarya uranium ore area to the modern seismic exploration technologies and formation water use. The KazMunayGas Engineering JSC, Volkovgeologiya, JSC, Kyzylordageologiya, JSC, KING JSC and Balausa LLP among the Speakers included the representatives.
The participants discussed the challenges facing the industry, exchanged experiences and proposed ways for further development of geology in the region. The conference concluded with an award ceremonial presentation of Certificate of the Celebration and Appreciation Letters as well as a final discussion on the prospects of the geological industry in the Kyzylorda region.
Holding such events highlights the commitment of the professional community to consolidate efforts in the face of new challenges and diversifying its resource base necessary. The conference became a platform to identify practical solutions and strengthening interdepartmental and international cooperation in the field of Geology and Subsoil Use.
