Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC in JV Kazgermunai LLP

During a working trip to Kyzylorda region on 29 August, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov visited the office of JV Kazgermunai LLP.

He got acquainted with the work of the Centre for Analysis and Production Planning, which is part of a single integrated working data environment, along with the Centre for Operational Management, located at the Akshabulak field. Both facilities were created as part of the Smart Field project. For this project, Kazgermunai received a bronze award in 2019 as the "First Digital Field Project in Russia and Central Asia" among 600 participants in a competition held internally by Schlumberger.

KGM staff demonstrated the project roadmap consisting of four main phases: 2015-2017.  - automation, 2017-2019. - Telemechanisation, 2019-2021. - digitalisation, 2021-2025. - smart field.

At this stage of the project, the company has achieved the following results: oil losses due to downtime have been halved, a centralised online monitoring system for all technological processes has been introduced, the quality of geological and engineering operations has been improved, automatic web-based reporting has been introduced, the time of routine operations has been reduced, and the analysis of field development and downtime losses has been significantly improved.

It is also expected that in the near future the project will reduce the oil production decline rate of the base fund by 0.2 per cent per year and reduce operating costs by 10 per cent.

In general, the project and the results achieved by JV Kazgermunai LLP were positively evaluated by N. Zhakupov.
