The priority goals of “JV “Kazgermunai” LLP in the field of industrial safety and labour protection are:

• maintenance of the safe working conditions, protection of health of the personnel of the company and population, which is living in the areas of activity of industrial facilities of the company;
• increase in industrial safety at dangerous industrial facilities of the company at the expense of maintenance of reliable and trouble-free operation of the processing equipment;
• introduction of effective methods of technical diagnostics of the equipment;
• identification and estimation of the industrial dangers and risks, increase in efficiency of the control over observance of the industrial safety requirements at industrial facilities.

For the specified purpose, the management systems conforming to the international standards OHSAS 18001:2007, and also RK ST OHSAS 18001-2008 in the area of maintenance of professional safety and health have been successfully introduced.

The working conditions of the workplaces are timely certified for compliance with standards. The constantly operating commission (maximum concentration limit), which performs the internal control over the working conditions, fire and industrial safety according to the schedule, was established.

Not less than once a year the workers are trained to the safe work methods in all industrial divisions of the company following the results of which the examination is passed. The executives and persons, who are responsible for maintenance of industrial safety and labour protection, are trained once in three years and also examined during the advanced training courses in the relevant educational organisations.

The complex of the measures directed on prevention of the traumas and occupational diseases is taken. The workers of the Company are subject to the annual professional inspection and pre-shift survey at the expense of the employer.

The company invests considerable funds for ensuring the safe working conditions of the personnel. The analysis of all purchased individual protection equipment of the workers is annually carried out. The special attention is given to the maintenance of the highest protection level, ergonomics and maximum comfort in use of the individual protection equipment.

The joint drills of the gas rescue and fire-prevention services are conducted at deposits of the company.

To prevent the motor vehicle accidents connected with excess of the high-speed mode, the “Vehicles and Special Equipment Monitoring System (GPS)” was put into operation. Thanks to the constant and system work with contract organisations, motor vehicle accidents and accidents are prevented.

The result of these measures is an indicator of stably low level of traumatism, zero indicator by large emergencies and fires.
