Abdirakhmanov Nurzhan Bazarbaevich was born on January 17, 1980. In 2002 he graduated with honors (Magma Cum Laude) from Tulsa University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, majoring in petroleum engineer.

From 2014 to 2015 he studied under the MBA program "Master of Business Administration" at the University of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) with the qualification of Master of Business Administration.

After graduating from the university, he began his career in 2002 at Karazhanbasmunai JSC , worked as an oil and gas production operator, process engineer, production engineer of the geological department, senior and leading production engineer of the geological department.

From 2007 to 2008 - Head of the Oil Production Department of the Karazhanbas field.

From 2008 to 2012 - Deputy Director of the Production Department at the Karazhanbas field.

From June 2012 to November 2017, he worked as Deputy General Director for Production of JV Kazgermunai LLP.

From November 2017 to April 2019, he held the position of Vice President for Production of Karazhanbasmunai JSC.

From April 2019 to October 2021, he held the position of Deputy General Director for Production of Ozenmunaigas  JSC.
