Karl Giesemann, Director - Geology and Development Department

On June 20, 2023, Karl Giesemann, Director - Geology and Development Department got retired due to pension age. Karl Giesemann worked in JV Kazgermunai LLP for 22 years, while his total work experience was 39 years.

Karl Giesemann, in 1984 has graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute in specialty Mining Geology Engineer. Karl Giesemann started his carrier as a scientific employee-geologist at the GDR Central Institute from where he was assigned to work in Poland and USSR joint project “Petrobaltik”.

From 1997 to 2006 has was chaired the Department of Geology by the German side at JV Kazgermunai LLP,  from 2006 to 2008 was worked on that position and presented by the Kazakhstan side. He left the Company.  In 2012 he was back to work on the position as Geology and Development consultant and in 2014 he headed the Geology and Development Department at Kazgermunai.

He has a title of a “High Achiever of Exploration Survey” of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has been awarded with Certificates of Honor as follows:  JV Kazgermunai LLP (2016), JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (2017), JSC PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources (2018).
